Is this the right floor cleaner for your facility?

Choose this machine when
  • You scrub sealed floors (concrete, epoxy, tile, vinyl) where solution and recovery are both required.
  • Your facility size and frequency of cleaning justify a self-propelled machine over manual mopping.
  • You need consistent scrub pressure for grease, soil, or food-service residue removal.
  • You want squeegee-and-vacuum recovery so floors are dry and walkable immediately after cleaning.

Why It's Different

~17× faster than mop and bucket.

A single operator with mop and bucket caps out around 1,500 sq ft per hour and leaves wet floors that can stay slick for 20 minutes. The SS60 covers ~25,300 sq ft per hour and leaves the floor squeegee-dry behind it.

Solution tank & cleaning products

What to put in the solution tank

The 55.0 L solution tank holds the formula the brushes apply. Fill it with water — hot water up to 60 °C is fine — plus a low-foam, pH-neutral commercial floor detergent, diluted to the ratio printed on the product label. The right choice depends on your floor type and soil level.

Daily neutral-pH cleaner

For everyday cleaning of sealed concrete, epoxy, polished concrete and tile. Low-foam, residue-free and safe for polished or coated finishes. Use the label's daily-clean dilution.

Low-foam alkaline degreaser

For grease and oil in food service, workshops and garages. Dilute stronger for heavy soil and test a small area first — not for polished or waxed finishes.

Autoscrubber-safe neutral disinfectant

For healthcare and food-prep areas, only if the label says low-foam and autoscrubber-compatible. Observe the product's required dwell time.

Plain hot water (≤ 60 °C)

For light maintenance and rinse passes. For stubborn dirt or grease, add a recommended commercial detergent rather than more foam.

Do
  • Use a low-foam, pH-neutral commercial floor detergent
  • Follow the dilution ratio on the container
  • Fill with water, up to 60 °C maximum
  • Test a small area before treating the whole floor
  • If foam builds up, add defoamer to the recovery tank
Don't
  • High-foam, dish or household soaps — they flood the suction motor
  • Bleach and chlorine products — corrosive to components
  • Strong acids or acidic descalers
  • Caustic, solvent or thinner-based products
  • Flammable liquids
  • Granular or powder detergent (e.g. washing powder) — voids the warranty
  • Never mix chemicals together

Always follow the dilution and handling instructions on the product label. The wrong chemical can damage the machine and void the manufacturer warranty. Full guidance is in the operator manual (see Downloads below).

Replace the mop bucket. Recover the shift.

Manual mopping caps out around 1,500 sq ft per labour-hour and leaves a slip-risk window. The SS60 covers ~25,300 sq ft per machine-hour and leaves the floor squeegee-dry behind it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choosing the right machine

Sweeper or scrubber: which one do I need?
Sweepers (like the SL1250 ride-on sweeper) collect dry debris: dust, dirt, leaves, packaging. They use brushes and a dustbin. Scrubbers (like the SS60) apply a cleaning solution through brushes and recover the dirty water through a squeegee, leaving floors visibly clean and dry. Many large facilities run both. If your floors collect dry debris, you need a sweeper. If your floors are sealed and need to look clean and disinfected, and the mop bucket is the bottleneck, you need a scrubber.
Walk-behind or ride-on: does facility size matter?
Yes. As a rule of thumb, walk-behind scrubbers like the SS60 are the right call for facilities cleaning 5,000 to 30,000 sq ft per shift. Above that, the SS75-R ride-on scrubber pays back faster because operator fatigue stops being the bottleneck. Below 5,000 sq ft, a mop and bucket may still be more practical. The SS60 hits the productivity sweet spot for mid-sized warehouses, hospitals, retail, and office buildings.

Operation and maintenance

How long does the SS60 run on a single charge?
3 to 5 hours of continuous scrubbing per full charge, depending on solution flow rate and floor conditions. The lithium-ion battery supports opportunity charging during operator breaks, which extends total shift coverage. Full charge from empty takes 3 to 4 hours.
Can the SS60 be used outdoors or on asphalt?
No. The SS60 is engineered for indoor sealed hard floors only: sealed concrete, epoxy, polished concrete, and ceramic or porcelain tile. It is not suitable for asphalt, gravel, raw or unsealed concrete, or any outdoor surface, and is not designed for floors exposed to rain, snow, or freezing temperatures.
What maintenance does the SS60 need?
After every shift: drain and rinse the recovery (dirty-water) tank, rinse the squeegee, and inspect the brushes. Monthly: clean the solution-tank filter, check the squeegee blades for wear and rotate them, and clean the seals on the recovery tank lid. As needed: replace brushes (typically every 6 to 12 months depending on use) and squeegee blades (consumable). Lithium-ion batteries are maintenance-free for the warranty period: no watering, no equalization, no off-gassing.
What cleaning solution should I use in the SS60?
Use a low-foam, pH-neutral commercial floor detergent, diluted to the ratio on the container, with water up to 60 °C. A neutral cleaner suits daily cleaning on sealed concrete, epoxy, polished concrete and tile; a low-foam alkaline degreaser handles grease in food-service or workshop areas (test a small area first). Never use high-foam or dish soaps, bleach, strong acids, solvents, flammable liquids, or powder detergent — they damage the machine and void the warranty. If foam builds up, add defoamer to the recovery tank, not the solution tank. See the “What to put in the solution tank” section above for the full guide.

Purchase and delivery

How do I request a delivery quote for the SS60?
Use the "Request a Delivery Quote" button on this page or contact us at sales@sumachay.com or 1-844-861-9484. The SS60 ships on a pallet via LTL freight or smaller-format courier depending on facility access. Delivery typically takes 5 to 10 business days after 1 to 3 days of handling. Liftgate delivery and appointment scheduling are available on most routes.
What warranty comes with the SS60?
The SS60 includes a 12-month equipment warranty covering the brush motor, suction motor, controller, control panel, and lithium battery against manufacturing defects under normal operating conditions. Wear items (squeegee blades, scrub brushes, scrub pads, rubber strips, brush plates) are excluded. Warranty registration is automatic at purchase.
