Palettes et chargements

Can the SLCS15 handle both closed-bottom pallets and skids?

Yes - this is the whole point of this model. The SLCS15 uses a counterbalance design with no outrigger legs under the load, allowing the forks to approach closed-bottom pallets, skids, drums on flat bases, and custom fixtures head-on. A standard straddle stacker cannot physically service these loads because its legs would need to go around or under the pallet.

Does it also work with standard 4-way GMA or EUR pallets?

Yes. The SLCS15 handles standard GMA and EUR 4-way pallets in the same way as a straddle stacker. The counterbalanced design simply *adds* compatibility with non-standard bases—it does not remove support for standard pallets.

How is it different from a standard straddle stacker?

A straddle stacker has two long support legs at the base that extend under or around the pallet to stabilize the load. This design is effective on standard pallets but blocks access to closed bases. The SLCS15 replaces these legs with a heavier counterbalanced chassis at the rear—the forks can then reach any load providing insertion clearance on its front face, not just loads with leg entry points. The tradeoff is a slightly higher upfront cost and a wider turning radius.

How does this compare to a sit-down counterbalance forklift?

The SLCS15 is a walkie-counterbalanced electric stacker, not a sit-down forklift. It retains the compact footprint of a stacker, while the rear counterweight allows the forks to reach loads inaccessible to outrigger stackers: closed-bottom pallets, crates, and other non-standard loads. A sit-down counterbalanced forklift is relevant for high throughput over long distances in large warehouses. The SLCS15 is designed for targeted lifting of non-standard loads in warehouses, factories, or 3PLs over moderate distances, with a lower total cost of ownership and maintenance.

How long does the 24V 210Ah lead-acid battery last per shift?

Autonomy depends on lift cycles, load weight and travel distance, but a single-shift operation usually completes a full shift with a night charge. Multi-shift operations should plan for recharging during breaks or a second battery for continuous service.

What charging installation is required?

A standard 110-240V AC outlet in a ventilated area is sufficient. Lead-acid chemistry requires adequate ventilation during recharging. Your quote includes the appropriate charger for the battery provided.
